First strokes

This is my first attempt at a blog, even though I have been writing for over 50 years and typing on a pc or keyboard for 40 years. That's me on the left by the way, taken a few months ago before my hair got longer. Sort of a self portrait witha digital camera held at arm's length. (Right about now I am wondering about spell check with this blog tool...I depend on Word to fix my screwups). Also, I'm trying to figure out how I should conduct myself as a blogger. Do I censor myself, since anyone who knows me know that i do not censor my language except in the presence of those I feel will be offended. I'm thinking at this point I will probably put a disclaimer on the posts that I express myself profanely so that sensitive readers can decide for themselves if they choose to continue reading. I guess there will be other considerations, too, such as length, topics, add-ins, links, etc. but I'll have to work through those as I go. By the way, I got here by way of Word. The new 2007 version has some kind of blog feature built in and I may end up using it and just copying things to this blog. I wonder what James Joyce or William Faulkner would think if they knew anyone could be posting their "stream of conciousness" for everyone to see.
